Description
King Ludwig II of Bavaria - a gift ring with crowned name cypher "L", circa 1880Gold, diamonds and remnants of blue enamel. In the centre a vertically oval medallion (loose) with crowned cypher "L" (minor flaw) in gold, surrounded by set diamonds and held by two winged figures. The ring with stamp "585" on the inside. Partly damaged, traces of age. Diameter approx. 20 mm, weight 10.5 g. Cf. also a gift ring by King Ludwig II at Hermann Historica, 89th auction, lot No. 4271, sold for 9,500 euros.Condition: III
