Thomas Edison (1847-1931). Autograph Letter Signed, "Edison", 1p, 7.875" x 9.75", n.p., September 6, [n.y.]. Recipient's pencil notations appear at bottom. Western Union stamp on verso. PSA/DNA certified and encapsulated to an overall size of 9.75" x 13.25". Expected folds and light creases. Minor ink transfer. Small area of paper loss at top left. In very good condition.
Edison writes to N.C. Miller regarding experimentation with a "rough" apparatus and falling short of funds, in part: "I had previously been experimenting with a rather rough kind of apparatus & started some time ago to make a complete set, as I have only 2 men, and not much money. It goes slow..."
