Description
A very early production Model 1860 carbine bearing serial 16673. The first 11,000 Spencers were 3-band full length rifles. The carbine serials started in the 11,000 range and continued into the 62,000 range. This Spencer was delivered to the cavalry in the fall of 1863... among the earliest issued. VG. All original and complete except for refined front sight which has a smaller more precise bead than the factory sight.
