American, 19th century, paper ephemera. Nine (9) Civil War related items: a carte de visite of a Union soldier taken by Reynolds and Wisner of St. Louis, Missouri; a letter in its "The War for the Union" envelope sent from a camp in Rolla, Missouri; six (6) war-time envelopes; and a Funeral of Fremont's bodyguard postcard.

From the Collection of John F. Bradbury, Jr., longtime archivist and director of the State Historical Society of Missouri?s Rolla Research Center in Phelps County. John was a historian specializing in the Civil War period with a dedicated and distinguished career to studying and promoting the history of the Missouri Ozarks region.
