Lot of Six Civil War related ephemera: 1. Cabinet Card Labeled "Gen. U.S. Grant. Taken at Mt. McGregor Three Days Before is Death." On verso: "Presented By Parisian Suit Co...Chicago. Apparently this photo has been variously labeled 3 or 4 days before his death. One other, slightly different is labeled 5 Days Before! H 4-1/4" W 5-3/8". 2. CDV Full length photo of Dr. A.B. Kinney. Perhaps Virginia? 2 cent tax stamp on reverse. Bottom corners clipped. H 3-7/8" W 2-3/8". 3. Soldiers & Sailors Almanac For n1869, and History of the Late Rebellion From 1860-1865. Soldiers and Sailors Publishing Co. NY [1868]. Wonderful front cover illustration of a wounded soldier shaking hands with a sailor who has lost an arm. Yellow wrappers, worn, soiled, stained, edge folds, etc. Complete. H 7-3/4" W 5-1/4" 4. American Tract Soc. Something for The Hospital. NY no date but ca 1860-5. Uplifting words for hospitalized solders. Owners name: Cyrus Harrison. Small soft covers with gilt illustration on front cover of encampment scene, with a sentry standing guard. Quite worn but complete. Front cover and first two leaves are detatched. H 5-1/2" W 3-1/2". 5. Report of the Surgeon General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, For the Year 1863. 67 pp 8vo. Paper covers, typical wear but generally very good. Contains lists of Medical Officers associated with the Pennsylvania Militia, and descriptive text. H 9-1/2" W 6". 6. Statistical Pocket Manual, of the Army, Navy, and Census of the USA...10th ed. Boston. 2 parts 99 pp, 118 pp. Color litho frontis of Flags of All Commercial Nations. Cloth bound small 8 vo. Moderate wear, with one small 1.5" long thin mouse chew at top of rear cover. H 6-3/8" W 4-1/4".
