Description
Carved Hematite, apprx 28 x 15 mm. Three standing figures including goddess Ishtar to the right, god with mace in the middle and Lamma to the left. Inscribed Nur-ilishu, son of Ipgy (?) Nanay, servant of the god Amurran. This seal comes with a museum quality modern impression and is accompanied by a signed hand written note by W. G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology, University of Birmingham, UK, 1970 - 1993. From the collection of Juliane and Philip Lynch, Shaker Heights, Ohio.
