Pre-Columbian, Peru, Kingdom of Cusco / Inca Empire, ca. 1200 to 1532 CE. A pair of hand-forged copper celt or chisel heads, one with a slightly expanded midsection, with a thicker blunt end and a narrow tip. Blades like these were bound to the tops of wooden handles as chopping and hammering tools - especially useful and necessary when cutting stones to construct monuments such as Machu Pichu and Sacsayhuaman! Size of larger: 5.65" L x 1.3" W (14.4 cm x 3.3 cm)
