**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Peru, Inca Empire, ca. early 15th to early 16th century CE. A fine set of 2 cast-copper axe heads of hefty forms, both with stocky tangs and crescent-shaped blades. The first axe head exhibits a red-brown copper color accentuated with black age-commensurate mottling, and the larger tool features an attractive green-brown coloration with incredibly smooth surfaces. Size of largest: 8.5" L x 4.625" W (21.6 cm x 11.7 cm); (case): 12.25" L x 8.25" W (31.1 cm x 21 cm)
Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s

Condition
Both pieces have minor abrasions and nicks along peripheries, otherwise intact and very good. Nice patina throughout. Both pieces are displayed within a Riker case.
