Titled "Miranda! Them Thar Cobs is Snowed Under Out Yander," depicts an older man with snow to mid shin speaking to a woman standing in the doorway of a cabin surrounded by snow. Ward's works often depict pioneer life and feature the characters Miranda and Hezzakaiah. Her primitive, and sometimes humorous, works have since given her the affectionate title of "Grandma Moses of the Ozarks."
