AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN, watercolor on paper, a striking bust-length profile depiction of a youthful, dark-haired sitter sporting shell-like comb, against a rich blue background, no signature located. Housed in original molded pine frame. Circa 1830. 3 7/8" x 2 3/8" sight, 5 1/2" x 4" OA.

Condition
Good overall original condition with minor fold lines. Frame with minor wear, some nails to backboard replaced, lacking glass.
