Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chimu, ca. 1000 to 1450 CE. A lovely necklace made from ancient beads carved from blue sodalite stones and copper charms cast as birds and monkeys. The beads are strung in modern times on a modern monofilament wire with a barrel clasp as a wearable piece. Size of strand: 24" L (61 cm); monkey charm: 0.6" L x 0.2" W (1.5 cm x 0.5 cm)
