A pair of vintage Russian lacquered wooden trinket boxes with hinged lids. Each item is black with hand-painted decor on the lid, the inside is painted red. Palekh school. A figurative box representing a matryoshka doll. An oval box depicting two young women with swans, titled Swan Lake and signed underneath. Palekh is one of the largest centers of Russian lacquer art. Russian Lacquer Miniature For Collectors, Folk Art And Decor.

Dimensions: Bigger 4 1/4 x 3 x 1 1/2 in, smaller 3 1/4 x 2 1/8 x 1 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
