Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 500 to 100 BCE. A hand-built pottery female 'pretty lady' presenting nude while standing atop delineated legs. Highly burnished and decorated with orange and red pigment, the woman holds both arms out from perky breasts, wears an impressed necklace, and has a slightly concave abdomen. Her raised head features impressed triangular eyes, a tab-shaped nose, pursed lips, and multiple ornaments adorning each ear. Size: 1.8" W x 3.125" H (4.6 cm x 7.9 cm); 3.875" H (9.8 cm) on included custom stand.
