Walter Addison, New York, 1914-1982. A Walter Addison sketch book containing 6 watercolors of wild animals, and 8 pen and ink animal studies, all in good condition. Each page 12" x 18". Circa 1940-50 during his tenure as the lead artist of the Bronx Zoo. Provenance: Consigned by family. All artwork was found in his cottage in Washington Depot, Connecticut, on the banks of the Shepaug River, where he lived with his wife Rhoda from 1965 until his death in 1982.
