Description: Very beautiful landscape drawing by Hedwig Dix, the sister of Otto Dix. From the possession of the Gerar painter Alexander Wolfgang (1894-1970). He had married Hedwig Dix in 1939. In the 1930s Hedwig Dix belonged to the circle of friends that her brother Otto Dix formed with the Gera painters Alexander Wolfgang, Alfred Ahner and Kurt Günther, who were friends of his. During these years she repeatedly joined the artists on painting trips and hikes. She was particularly influenced by Alexander Wolfgang, to whom she had been married since 1939. Like Wolfgang, she was a landscape painter.
