Technique: Pencil on Paper
Inscription: Lower left unrecognisably inscribed by the artist. The sheet comes from a sketchbook by an anonymous artist from the circle of the famous history painter Moritz von Schwind (1804 Vienna - 1871 Niederpöcking), who is one of the most important painters of the German late Romantic period. As in Schwind's works, the sketchbook contains numerous depictions of history scenes or illustrations of fairy tales and legends as well as religious themes. Please also note our other offers.

Probably showing a landscape section in the area of South Tyrol. The sheet comes from a sketchbook by an anonymous artist from the circle of the famous history painter Moritz von Schwind (1804 Vienna - 1871 Niederpöcking), who is one of the most important painters of the German late Romantic period.
