Description: Very beautiful landscape drawing of Hedwig Dix, the sister of Otto Dix. With the stamp of the Gerar painter Alexander Wolfgang (1894-1970) on verso. He had married Hedwig Dix in 1939. In the 1930s Hedwig Dix belonged to the circle of friends that her brother Otto Dix formed with the Gera painters Alexander Wolfgang, Alfred Ahner and Kurt Günther, who were his friends. During these years she joined the artists on painting trips and hiking tours. She was especially influenced by Alexander Wolfgang, to whom she had been married since 1939. Like Wolfgang she was a landscape painter.

Beschreibung: Sehr schöne Landschaftszeichnung von Hedwig Dix, der Schwester von Otto Dix. Aus dem Besitz des Gerarer Malers Alexander Wolfgang (1894-1970). Er hatte 1939 Hedwig Dix geheiratet. In den 1930er Jahren gehörte Hedwig Dix zu dem Freundeskreis, den ihr Bruder Otto Dix mit den ihm befreundeten Geraer Malern Alexander Wolfgang, Alfred Ahner und Kurt Günther bildete. In diesen Jahren schloß sie sich immer wieder den Künstlern auf Malreisen und Wanderungen an. Besonders stark beeinflußte sie Alexander Wolfgang, mit dem sie auch seit 1939 verheiratet war. Wie Wolfgang war sie Landschaftsmalerin.
