Typed letter signed, as President, November 8, 1924, to Mrs. W. G. Means in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 1920, Calvin Coolidge was elected the 29th vice president of the United States, and he succeeded to the presidency upon the sudden death of Warren G. Harding in 1923.
Elected in his own right on November 4, 1924, he gained a reputation as a small-government conservative. His legacy includes fiscal conservatism, support for women's suffrage, and a pro-business stance that resonated strongly with the American middle class.
Letter 9 x 7, Envelope 7 1/4 x 4 ¾, Frame 19½ x 13½ inches.
