Property from a Princely collection
Gorgeous poi bowl with numerous native pahonohono (repairs) of different types: pewa (butterfly keys), kepa (small wedges of hard wood hammered in obliquely across cracks and arranged to form a zigzag pattern along the crack), and rectangular inset on the bottom. More than just repairing a valued bowl, these repairs added to the general aesthetic of the bowl.
