Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Red and Green Glazed Porcelain gourd Bottle. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in green base color which contrast against red fine design color, depicted of lotus flowers bloom interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
