Chinese Ming Dynasty WanLi Red Glazed Lotus Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vase. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red base color which contrast against golden fine color, depicted of group of lotus blossom interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years WanLi Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
