Carte-de-visite showing 5 photographic vignettes including General George Armstrong Custer, Lieutenant James Calhoun (General's brother-in-law), Captain Thomas Custer (General's brother), Boston Custer (General's brother) and Harry Armstrong Reed (General's nephew). All these men were killed at the Battle of Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876. The carte displays a frontmark imprint of "S. Wing, No.23 Front Street, Monroe, Mich.". Image exhibits good tones. Image is not listed in "Custer in Photographs" by D. Mark Katz, Random House Publishing, 1990. This image was previously sold at Heritage Auctions as lot #47032 in the Civil War & Militaria Signature Auction on December 12, 2014. Provenance: Gary Wolfer collection.
