Printed 'Second Supplement to The London Gazette',8pp. 4to., London, Feb. 20, 1940, a list of the awards and honors bestowed by King George VI upon Rear Admiral Henry Harwood and and about fifty officers and crewmembers of the British warships HMS ACHILLES, HMS EXETER, and HMS AJAX. Each recipient is listed by name, along with the honor awarded and an excerpt of the citation, which illustrate the exceptional bravery displayed by these men during the brutal encounter with ADMIRAL GRAF SPEE. The document's first page is lightly toned with a few stray spots, else very good.
