Description
Pair of documents once belonging to Holocaust victim Eduard Agular, a Jewish businessman born in Hamburg in February, 1907 who later settled in Prague with his wife. Included is a copy of Agular's birth certificate, 1po. legal folio, [Prague], 1939, signed at bottom by 'Rabbi Dr. Folkmann', accompanied by his 'List Domovsky', or Residence Document, 1p. legal folio, Chrudim (east of Prague), 1931, both documents with heavy folds and edge wear. Sold with copies of Agular's signed passport photo and identity papers. On October 26, 1941 Eduard Agular was one of a thousand Jews who boarded 'Transport C' destined for the Lodz Ghetto. Of those aboard, only 65 would survive the war. Agular is recorded as a victim of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto.
