Rare partly-printed D.S., 1p. 4to., [n.p.], June 14, 1941, reading in part: '...I dutifully declare that my wife is a Jewish mischling [literally, 'mixed breed']. I was instructed by my disciplinarian superior about the term Jewish half-breed in this context. I understand that I may face prosecution if the statement is found to be inaccurate. I have been informed that if I deceive my superiors by giving incorrect information with the intention of evading military service, I may be punished with the highest penalties, possibly with death, for undermining military strength...' Signed at bottom by an unknown draftee and accompanied by a small photo. We presume that the man was declined for military service because of his wife's religious roots. Folds, else very good.
