Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 500 CE. A hand-built pottery kero with highly burnished surfaces painted with vibrant polychrome pigments. The vessel features a round but stable base, a corseted midsection, and a thin rim surrounding the basin. Two rows of severed trophy heads encircle the exterior walls - the bottom of more minimalist aesthetic, and the top with stylized half-portraits. Size: 4.4" W x 4" H (11.2 cm x 10.2 cm)

Condition
Light abrasions and fading to pigment in some areas, otherwise intact and excellent. Nice root marks and nice preservation to painted motifs.
