白玉質，質地瑩潤細膩，清透皎潔。體呈圓形，子母口緊密扣合，嚴絲合縫。蓋面隆起，飾四組如意雲紋，與蓋鈕交接處飾如意雲頭紋一周，蓋鈕頂面中央刻壽字，四周刻蝙蝠環繞，寓意吉祥。器身鼓腹，口緣凸雕四組等距卷草紋樣，下承磬形紋飾及壽字，磬兩旁有卍字連接飄帶，線條柔美。底承四矮足。整體玉質上乘，如脂若冰，雕琢工藝精美，寓意吉祥。
「奩者，閨房脂澤之器。」為古代婦女盛放香物或梳妝用品之器，據史書記載：「美人妝，面既施粉，復以燕支暈掌中，施之兩頰，濃者爲酒暈妝，淺者爲桃花妝，薄薄施朱，以粉罩之，爲飛霞妝。」又唐代元稹：「醮起彤庭燭，香開白玉奩。」白玉奩亦在清朝成為皇室貴族女性使用講究之器物，若為壽辰之禮，更展現身分尊貴、財富及生活品味。如北京故宮博物院庋藏清乾隆〈青玉寶相花紋奩〉與本品皆取美玉雕琢，顯露對玉奩之珍視與看重。拍場相似之例可參見香港佳士得2010年12月1日，編號3007，清乾隆〈白玉萬年如意奩〉，其造形紋飾與本品有異曲同工之妙，展現出清代玉雕工藝之高超水平，可資參考。細觀本件玉奩，造形精巧，玉色純美，拋光打磨細緻。腹部與蓋面飾以吉祥紋飾，寓有如意、吉慶與長壽等意，顯露華麗細緻的貴族氣質。
