Central Asia, Bactrian, ca. 2000 to 1700 BCE. A discoidal stone stamp seal carved from a mottled cool gray stone with a scalloped or serrated edge and 3 anthropomorphic figures on the seal face. The flat verso contains the remains of the ring form suspension loop and handle. On the obverse, 2 abstract hourglass type figures stand facing each other over the head of a seated figure upon a chair or dais with V shaped vegetal fronds above. Size: 2" Diameter x 0.3" W (5.1 cm x 0.8 cm)
