Er bereiste in Begleitung einiger begabter Zeichner die spanische Halbinsel und beschrieb sowohl die antiken als auch die maurischen Monumente im Detail. - Das Werk erschien zwischen 1806 und 1820 in insgesamt zwei Bänden mit insgesamt vier Teilen. Der vorliegende Band trägt die Nummer 3 auf dem Rücken, es handelt sich dabei um den ersten Teil von Band 2. - Durchgehend stock- sowie vereinzelt sporfleckig. He travelled the Spanish peninsula in the company of some talented draughtsmen and described both the ancient and the Moorish monuments in detail. - The work was published in two volumes with a total of four parts. The present volume bears the number 3 on the spine, it is indeed the first part of volume 2. - Throughout foxing and sporadic spotting. Some pages with waterstains in the right white margin. Nice impression with wide margins.
