I primi tre volumi recano al Frontespizio una veduta del Palazzo Ducale presa da diversa angolazione. Nel volume 4, 15 tavole con i ritratti di 120 Dogi. L’opera uscì inizialmente in fascicoli: per la sezione storica Zanotto fu coadiuvato da Giovanni Battista Lorenzi. Soranzo censisce i primi tre volumi, 1853-1858, con 188 tavole. Soranzo 608, 7586.

Monumental work, magnificently illustrated. The plates depict plants, cross sections, reliefs, capitals, details of the decorations. The first three volumes show a view of the Doge's Palace from a different angle on the Titlepage. In volume 4, 15 plates with the portraits of 120 Doges. The work was initially published in installments: for the historical section Zanotto was assisted by Giovanni Battista Lorenzi. Soranzo lists the first three volumes, 1853-1858, with 188 tables.
