**First Time At Auction**

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A fine set of 3 hand-built pottery female figures shown with slender feet and delineated legs. Presented in hues of light orange, creamy beige, or light gray, each figure presents with feminine bodies, arms folded atop the chest, and necklaces adorning their clavicles. Their thighs and waistlines are delicately incised with linear motifs. Their faces bear coffee-bean-shaped eyes, protruding noses, petite mouths, and shell-adorned ears, all beneath minimalist caps. While their posture appears as though they are standing, their crossed arms could indicate that they are deceased. Size of largest: 2.25" W x 5.7" H (5.7 cm x 14.5 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s

Gray figure repaired across waistline and on proper left arm, with resurfacing and light overpainting along break lines; light orange and beige figures are intact and very good. Each piece has light encrustations and softening to some incised details. Stable fissure to proper left wrist of beige figure not indicative of repair. Nice preservation to overall forms.
