Description
London overstruck with Edinburgh 1772, with a tapering body chased with swags below a large beaded wavy rim and with two loop handles, the ribbed neck with a domed cover, the detachable base with ball and claw feet, a pierced edge and ribbed section rising to the body. The underside of the body with clear marks for London 1771, maker FC; marks on base and on lid for Edinburgh 1772, maker’s mark of William Davie, over those of London 1771. Altered; minor repairs to handles, surface is bright and probably lacquered, otherwise good condition. Height: 20 - 1/4". Approx. weight: 81 oz t. Condition: (Good). Dimensions: 20 - 1/2" x 11 - 1/2" x 12".
