Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A nice example of a flask that is free-blown from semi-translucent glass in sage green and yellow-green hues. The vessel features a coarse surface texture along with a piriform body, a gently corseted neckline, and a cylindrical neck surmounted by a flared, in-folded rim. The viewer can see how the glass was coiled into the overall form, and pitted areas create a tactile surface texture indicative of age. Size: 2.8" W x 4.8" H (7.1 cm x 12.2 cm)
