Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 3rd to 5th century CE. A wonderful pair of glass bottles, both with concave bases, bulbous bodies, narrow necks, and circular flared rims. Formed from opaque, aubergine-hued glass, the larger vessel displays a highly constricted neck and more globular body. The smaller jar is also formed from opaque glass, but instead boasts a shade of seafoam green, as well as melon-like ridges along its body and a thick handle connecting the sloped shoulder and rim. Size (of largest): 2.9" in diameter x 4.6" H (7.4 cm x 11.7 cm)
