Chinese Ming Dynasty JiaJing Blue & Red Musician motif Porcelain Plum Bottle Vase. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large and tall, wide body on shoulder, short neck with narrow opening, slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in blue base color which contrast against iron red fine color, depicted of group musician standing surrounded huge taotie mask, interlocking tendril and auspicious petals. The glazes of the whole vase are colourful, gorgeous, and showing distinguished honour. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
