Chinese Ming Dynasty WanLi Blue and White Dragon Porcelain Large Plate The plate has a broad wide central interior, round mouth lip, slight deep, thick and huge, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames, vapors, with a blazing pearl looms at the centre of the moon flask beneath the dragons gaze, amidst scrolling cumulus clouds, with face toward the heavens. The backdrop depicts swirling wind , Ruyi and fire painted atop a beautiful white under glaze. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, gave energy, and shading to the design, which attracting unceasingly admiration. The exterior rim bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of WanLi Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
