Description

Prints began to flourish as artistic media after World War I due to their affordability and an expanding market of art consumers. The American South became a focus for many artists and gave rise to some of the most aesthetically powerful practitioners of printmaking. This etching is of the court at Marchand House, 830 Royal St., New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. This beautiful piece of work is an edition of 200. The lines and shading technique create a masterpiece and transcends you to the French Quarters of New Orleans. Artist has signed this print. It is fantastic shape and is matted, under glass and framed.; Eugene E. Loving (1908-1971) Little information is available about either the life or artistic career of Eugene Loving.
