Description
Benjamin Harrison: 1888 Campaign Log Cabin Bottle. Wonderful campaign piece from the 1888 presidential race in the form of a glazed ceramic log cabin. While a campaign piece from 1888, it does harken back to Benjamin Harrison's grandfather William Henry Harrison and the use of the log cabin during the 1840 campaign. On the roof it has the dates "1840 / 1888", and holed at the top of the chimney, likely used as a bottle. This is the first example we have seen, and may be unique. The cabin has some minor wear from use, but overall in fine condition. One of the best 3-D display pieces from the 1888 campaign
