Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Mayan Territories, Maya, Late Classic period, ca. 550 to 950 CE. A mold-made brownware vessel with a planar base, a stylized anthropomorphic face with coffee-bean-shaped eyes and a prominent nose, hemispherical ears with small perforations, a large brow, and a flared rim which leads to a deep interior cavity.
