After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Dragon Motif High Stem Porcelain Bowl. This bowl has a lightly flaring open mouth-rim, round body shaped, deep arced body, raised in a high-foot ring and deep concave, High foot bowl, also known as Ba Wan. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of Imperial dragon are borne in floating clouds, flame, above Lishui waves. Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The clouds and dragon patterns are vivid and have distinctive characteristics of the times.

The Interior Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed white script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
