TALLEYRAND-PÉRIGORD CHARLES MAURICE DE: (1754-1838) French Diplomat and Statesman. Prime Minister of France July-September 1815. L.S., `Ch. Maurice Talleyrand´, one page, 4to, Paris, 3rd June 1799, on the printed stationery of the Naval and colonies Minister, to citizen Dezanebe fils, in French. Talleyrand, in his capacity as Minister of Foreign affairs, and on behalf of the absent Naval and Colonies Minister, signs at the base of the partially printed document, stating that seventy francs have been hold from Dezanebe salaries, in order to compensate various payments received in advance by the Marine warehouses employee. The document bears an attractive revolutionary French Marine vignette to the heading. Also signed at the base by the Chief of the Marine bureau.
