Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 400 CE. A wonderful, hand-built pottery bowl displaying a round yet stable base and impressively thin walls that expand slightly outwards, rising to a gently flared rim. Boasting hues of maroon, ochre, sienna, grey, white, and black, the exterior of the ancient vessel features a lovely decorative band of rhomboid motifs and swirling designs. Size: 7" in diameter x 3.625" H (17.8 cm x 9.2 cm)

Collection label on interior. Repair and restoration to rim. Repaired from at least 2 pieces with restoration over break lines. Some very light abrasions and char marks, commensurate with age. Otherwise, excellent with nice pigments.
