Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 100 to 500 CE. A sweet and petite earthenware bowl with a conical bottom, adorned with a wide register comprised of eight slip-painted abstract faces, in hues of red, orange, cream, and black along the outer walls. The visages are quite expressive with their wide-open eyes and mouths. Size: 4-1/2" x 2" (11.4 x 5.1 cm).
