Title: Utagawa Kunisada JP Woodblock Print Woman w Lantern
Description: This is a beautiful antique Japanese woodblock print or Ukiyo-e. The artist is Utagawa Kunisada and it was published by Ezakiya Tasuzo. The print shows a woman in formal kimono and hair holding a lantern and walking through the night, looking behind her and seemingly running from something. The print is signed in the bottom right corner Utagawa Kunisada and on the bottom with the seal of the publisher. On mulberry paper. Utagawa Kunisada was also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III and was the most successful and well-known print artist in 19th century Japan.

Dimensions: 14.75x9.875 inches
Condition: some discoloration on paper, but inks are still very vivid. A small tear on the upper right side of the page. No pinholes, creases, rips, or waves!!
Provenance: From the estate of a local retiree, whose grandfather collected Ukiyo-e prints throughout the 1930s.
