Description: A stunning woodblock print by Utagawa Kunisada II, a very prominent and famous artist in mid-19th century Japan. The print shows a dragon above or in water with three mythical people standing on its back. Traditionally, dragons were associated with water rather than fire. This print was made in 1860.
Signed: Signed Kunisada in red cartouche, bottom right corner. Published by Tsujiokaya Bunsuke (right seal) and another unidentified publisher (left seal). Round seal indicates date published.
Circa: 1860
Dimensions: Frames 19.25x14.25 inches. Sight 13.5x9.25 inches.

Condition: Minor wear on frame. Paper has slight discoloration, but no signs of foxing, rips, tears, creases, waves, insect damage, etc. Not examined outside of frame.
Provenance: From a Florida waterfront estate of a Belgian business man retiring to the south of France.
