Hand-painted porcelain soldier figurine of Napoleon's I stepson Eugene Rose de Beauharnais astride a horse mounted on a rectangular pedestal with inscription Le Prince Eugene. Made and marked at Scheibe Alsbach manufacturer in Germany.Eugene Rose de Beauharnais 1781-1824 was the first child and only son of Napoleon I's first wife. He became the stepson and adopted child of Napoleon I. Commanded the Army of Italy.Scheibe-Alsbach is a former municipality of Thuringia, Germany, now a part of Neuhaus am Rennweg. A porcelain factory built there in 1835, specializing in the Napoleonic period historical figurines.
