GARDNER - RARE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FIGURINE, 19c.
A rare antique porcelain figurine titled 'THE SOWER'. The figurine is meticulously crafted with perfectly executed features and small folds in the clothes, and it is neatly painted. It bears a red stamp from the Gardner factory under the double-headed imperial eagle, along with a red number '12' on the pedestal. Additionally, there is an embossed stamp with the words 'GARDNER' and the number '25'. The famous Gardner factory was renowned as the best porcelain enterprise in the Russian Empire. Similar figurines depicting peasant life were highly popular in the 19th century. Below, we have included a biography of Gardner.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, Gardner's Porcelain Figures were sold on Live Auctioneers for $9,000 (2 years ago), $10,000 (5 years ago), $12,000 (5 years ago), and $14,000 (14 years ago) - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 3 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 5 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.
NO RESERVE: Most of the auctioned items have NO reserve price or have reserve prices set at incredibly low levels, typically ranging from 30-40% of the low estimate price.
PAYMENT: Payment can be made with a Credit Card, Zelle, PayPal (for international bidders), Wire Transfer, Check, or Money Order. You can also suggest other methods of payment. Canadian winners can make payments to a Canadian Bank in CAD via Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer, or Interac e-Transfer.

GARDNER: Gardner Factory Russian Porcelain founded at Verbilki, near Moscow, by the Englishman Francis Gardner in 1766, and known for its hard paste porcelains, the Gardner factory served as important competition for the Imperial Porcelain Factory, spurring artists at both institutions to produce more complicated wares in terms of both form and decoration. One of two porcelain works in Russia during the 18th century.
