VERY RARE ORDER of DIEGO DE LOSADA, GRAND OFFICER's SET, BOXED
Grand Officer's Set, 2nd Class. This includes a Neck Badge, miniature, and lapel hole rosette, all housed in a case issued by 'FABRICANTES DISTINTIVOS VENEZOLANOS' with the name of the Order on the lid. Very Rare! 'I! R!' It is a superb and massive set of the best old jeweler's quality.

PROVENANCE: 1. From an old large collection, Berlin, Germany, 1975-2017; 2. La Galerie Numismatique Lausanne, Switzerland, April 04, 2018 (the winner will receive this information); 3. DIMENSIONS: 57 x 43 mm. Gilt Silver, both central medallions gilt silver, obverse enameled, suspension ring and neck ribbon. Breast Star, 85x73 mm, Silver, maker's mark and hallmarked '925', central medallion silver, with thin vertical pin on reverse.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, the same order LA GALERIE NUMISMATIQUE estimated up to 2,000 EURO ($2,300) - please refer to the screenshot for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 3 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 5 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.

HISTORY: Diego de Lozada (1511 - 1569) was a Spanish conquistador and the founder of Santiago de Leon de Caracas, the current capital of Venezuela. Losada was born in Rionegro del Puente, in what is now the province of Zamora. He reached Puerto Rico in 1533. Losada founded Caracas in 1567 after defeating Tamanaco, the Mariche chief. He died two years later, at Borburata.
