Two Chinese Silk Woven Lady's Cheongsam, Qipao
20TH CENTURY
the first a burgundy ground example, woven with a pattern of peony sprays in black and silver, closing to one side with silk toggle embellished angled closure, the second a petal pink example, worked with tricolor flower heads and having a slanted yi closure .
Width of each from pit to pit approximately 20 1/2 in., 52 cm.
