Two Chinese Silk Embroidered Silk Apron Skirts. The first, a cream ground skirt, the front and side panels elaborately embroidered in couched gilt threads and silk floss with flower vases, bonsai tree, incense burner and precious objects, lined with embroidered foliated bands and borders, the skirt panels embroidered with further floral decoration separated with black strips; the second, a green ground skirt with two finely embroidered peony and floral panels, the bright red silk brocade woven with large peony flowers, lined with green-blue butterflies and floral decorated ribbons and black satin bands.
